Thai birth certificate translation to English
When your child is born in Thailand, the hospital will provide you with a document called a “birth report” that at least one of the parents should bring to the district office within 15 days to obtain a certificate of birth. Make sure to bring your ID card or passport as well.
- If both parents are foreigners, the certificate will state that the child is “non-thai”.
- If both or one parent is Thai, then the child can obtain Thai nationality using the document issued by the thai district (Amphur) office.

What is a certified Thai Translation?
It is a document that has been reviewed by a qualified translator and approved for use by the client. Certified translations are often in legal translations, contracts, wills, and birth certificates. The main advantage of using a certified translation is that it is guaranteed to be accurate.
Are your translations certified?
This question is asked to all translation service providers. The process of certification is not legal but it does give the recipient confidence that the translation was performed by professionals and meets international standards. It’s important to note that certification doesn’t validate or endorses the content of the original document. We certify all our translations.
Does the translation need to be notarized?
No, notarization of the translation is not required. However, it is recommended that you have your documents translated by an official translation service in order to obtain a professional translation and certification of your affidavit or name certificate and avoid issues. You will then need to get the stamp of the consular section of the MFA before you can use it at your embassy or consulate.
When will I receive my translation? I need to get it quickly.
You will be given an estimated delivery date when you order. This date is based on the number and length of your documents. Once your copy is received, it will be assigned, and the translator will begin working on it. We will keep you updated on their progress. You will receive the delivery via email in pdf format first, then as hard copies.
We will always try to keep the turnaround time to a minimum.
